RF online early closed Beta from ~2002

Made some screenshots of what it originally looked like.  
3 maps - HQ-s and Crag mines.

Visually it's improved by implementing 4x MSAA by default (even GU has no AA support).  
Runs on dx 9c (not the original dx8).
It has no cw, no working quest system and animus/mau are largely incomplete. No SK or jetpack flying as far as i can tell.  
Lack of shaders makes all look light.
Crag mines is so strange it looks like a completely diff map.  
Most areas are  quite empty and bland, low poly everything.  
Cora has been to the gym here and bulked up.

Crag mine isn't that different O.o Beyond barricades, map entrances and the core its pretty much the same as modern if you don't count monster spawns... Kinda surprised you didn't show bellato entrance of Craig Mine. 

Cora Summoner has Paimon sort of working... Inanna is questionable with Hecate and Isis definitely not usable...   Early enough version cora specs don't have sealed animus to use.

For bell entrance - i had no idea where i was on the map/where entrance was so i just randomly ran around.  I think i went somewhere  last month on that char and got lost.
Everything looks so plain and similar that you lose direction.

The only thing that makes it so bad imo are the animations. The old animations are pretty terrible compared to later versions.

Most stuff can probably be ported over. I like the old interface too, it just needs more skill bars.

Well it was originally dx8. There are no shaders, shadows etc, this makes things look extra bland.
It looks amazing for the time - this is a few years after Half Life came out.

Hmm should we test out the meshes from a higher version then post some pictures so its more accurate to show the differences?
